In a significant breakthrough, police have apprehended the suspects involved in the Jahangirpuri murder case from Gorakhpur, Uttar Pradesh. The main accused and his accomplices were planning an escape. All three suspects were fleeing by train when they were arrested. On Friday, a woman was found murdered in Delhi's Jahangirpuri. The alleged perpetrator is a minor with alleged connections to the victim’s daughter. The mother had prohibited the boy from meeting her daughter. He allegedly visited her home that Friday afternoon to discuss this and, according to police reports, ended up killing her.
The Accused Stalked the Daughter
Reports indicate that in the Jahangirpuri area of Delhi, a woman was fatally shot. The suspect, a minor boy, was reported to have been stalking her daughter. After the girl was sent to a hostel, the accused, along with two friends, stormed the woman's home and shot her, causing widespread panic in the neighborhood. The police mobilized over ten teams in pursuit of the suspects. CCTV footage from the area provided crucial insights into their movements.
Previous Complaints Against the Accused
According to the police, the victim’s family had previously lodged a complaint against the minor boy. Based on this complaint, actions were taken under the POCSO Act. Both the accused and the victim were previously tracked to Nepal. After the initial complaint, the accused was placed in a juvenile justice home. Due to family objections to the relationship, the girl was sent away to a hostel.

On Friday afternoon, the accused arrived at the girl’s house accompanied by an associate. He inquired about the girl’s whereabouts, and when her mother responded that she was away at a hostel, the boy allegedly shot her. The shooter is a minor and belongs to a different community. CCTV footage helped the police identify an accomplice of the accused minor.

When the girl informed her family, they reported it to the police. Despite this, the accused persisted. Consequently, the family decided to send their daughter to a hostel, which allegedly agitated the minor boy. On Friday, he arrived at the girl’s house with two friends. Finding the mother alone at home, he asked about the girl’s location. Upon being told she was at a hostel, he shot the mother and fled.
