As International Women's Day approaches, Delhi Metro rolls out a bilingual slogan-writing and handmade art competition for its female commuters. The event kicks off today, February 17th. According to Delhi Metro, this competition's theme is 'Artistic Expression: Digital - Innovating for Gender Equality in Technology.'

This engaging contest will run from today, February 17th to February 21st. Celebrated annually on March 8th, International Women's Day honors women globally. Women interested can apply on the Delhi Metro's website. Online entries will be accepted until February 21st at midnight.

How can you participate in the contest?
  • First, visit the official Delhi Metro website at delhimetrorail.com.

  • Once the homepage appears, scroll down to find the Celebration of IWD-2023 banner.

  • Click on the banner, which will take you to another page.

  • Select the competition you want to join.

  • After clicking, a new page will appear. Fill in the required information here.

  • If participating in the slogan contest, update your slogan on the page. If participating in the art contest, upload your work.

  • Finally, click on register.

What are the contest rules?

  No more than 50 words are allowed for slogans.  The competition is open for women who travel on the Metro and female Metro employees.  Only one entry will be accepted per Metro card.  For artwork submissions, only handcrafted art is eligible for entry.  The photo you upload should be up to 2 MB in size.

What are the prizes?

  Results will be announced after February 21st.  The first place winner will receive ₹4000 Second place will be awarded ₹3000 Third place will take home ₹2000
