AAP convenor Arvind Kejriwal's arrest could cast a shadow over the party's parliamentary campaign. As a result, AAP leaders have become proactive in bolstering the organization's morale. On Tuesday, Sanjay Singh and Sandeep Pathak hosted a meeting in Chandigarh to inspire everyone from party leaders to grassroots workers. They also discussed strategies for cornering the BJP and Akali Dal on farmer issues and sacrilege cases. It is believed that while the BJP may benefit politically, it will be at the cost of farmer protests.
'AAP is hopeful that Kejriwal will soon be released'
Kejriwal was arrested by the ED on March 21st. After a 10-day custody with the ED, the trial court dispatched him to Tihar Jail for 15-day judicial detention. Today is Kejriwal's 10th day in jail and the 21st day since his arrest. Tuesday brought a setback from the Delhi High Court as well; it upheld his arrest and custody. Nonetheless, following the HC's decision, AAP has approached the Supreme Court. Party leaders are hopeful that Kejriwal will be granted relief and released shortly.
