The difficulties for politicians embroiled in the Delhi liquor scandal aren't showing signs of waning. The Central Bureau of Investigation (CBI) and the Enforcement Directorate (ED) continue their stranglehold on the accused, complicating their chances for bail. On a Thursday, BRS leader K Kavitha, 46, found herself in custody—already facing an ED investigation, she must now contend with a CBI probe too. The enforcement agency presented her in court on Friday seeking remand. Earlier, the ED had arrested 15 individuals, including Delhi Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal, Deputy Chief Minister Manish Sisodia, and fifteen others. Sanjay Singh secured bail from the Supreme Court on April 2nd, yet relief from the courts eludes the remaining accused. Both agencies pursue their separate investigations.
