On Sunday, sources from Tihar Jail disclosed that Delhi's Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal received a video conferencing consultation from a senior diabetologist at AIIMS. The consultation reassured Kejriwal that his health posed no grave concern and advised him to continue his prescribed medications. Tihar Jail administration monitors his health regularly.
Upon Sunita Kejriwal's request, the authorities facilitated a doctor's consultation which was also attended by senior diabetes specialists from AIIMS and medical officers from Tihar during the video call. The doctors collected complete records of the glucose monitoring sensor (CGMS) and details about Kejriwal's diet and medications. Kejriwal did not raise any issues concerning insulin, nor did the doctor suggest its use.
AAP Questions Why Insulin Isn’t Provided Despite Kejriwal's Sugar Level at 300
The Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) responded to the jail source's statement, saying, 'Tihar administration admitted to not consulting a diabetes specialist for 20 days, deliberately jeopardizing Kejriwal's life. With his sugar levels at 300, why is insulin not being administered?' Earlier, AAP Rajya Sabha MP Sanjay Singh accused the central government of a conspiracy to murder Kejriwal in prison.

Arvind Kejriwal Was On Insulin Reversal Program, Claims Tihar Jail Administration
According to the report, 'On a doctor's advice from Telangana, Kejriwal was on an insulin reversal program. It was discontinued well before his arrest. At the time of his arrest, he was only on an anti-diabetic tablet Metformin. Specialists stated after examining Kejriwal that his sugar levels have not been concerning since his judicial custody began, and there's no need for insulin.'
Kejriwal Consumes High Cholesterol Foods, Says Tihar Jail Administration
The report also mentioned that Tihar Jail had requested a healthy diet plan for Kejriwal, who has been consuming sweets, fried food, and high-cholesterol snacks. It's worth noting that Delhi's Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal is in jail connected to the Delhi liquor scam money laundering case. The Enforcement Directorate accuses the AAP of being the primary beneficiary of the proceeds of the alleged liquor scam, with Kejriwal playing a key role.
