In the recent Delhi Assembly elections, the Left parties fought a tough battle on six seats but ended up receiving fewer votes than NOTA (None of the Above). It was a complete disappointment for them as CPI (M), CPI, and CPI (ML) Liberation managed to secure only 2,158 votes, whereas NOTA garnered 5,627 votes. The voters preferred choosing no candidate at all over casting their vote for the Left parties.

A Major Setback for the Left Parties
The Left parties' performance in these elections was notably weak. Their candidates, who were supposed to be the voice for people's issues, were rejected by the voters. This clearly indicates the diminishing influence of Left parties in Delhi.
