Out of the 10 who perished in the Delhi blast, 8 have been identified. Yet, the Delhi Police, NIA, and other agencies face the challenge of identifying the other two bodies. These remains are so damaged that typical identification methods are nearly impossible. One body is headless, while the other contains fragmented parts such as a torso and severed fingers.
Given this state, identifying these two bodies is virtually impossible without utilizing DNA testing, which stands as the scientific and reliable method for establishing their true identity.
Significantly, investigative agencies have collected a DNA sample from Dr. Umar Mohammed's mother to compare against tissue samples found at the blast site. This raises questions about whether the terrorist Dr. Umar Mohammed perished in the Delhi explosion.
Initially, it was claimed that three people were inside an i20 vehicle during the blast. However, CCTV footage has now clarified that Dr. Umar Mohammed was the only occupant, and he was at the wheel when the explosion occurred.
According to the case's FIR, the blast's ferocity was such that the car was propelled several feet off the ground, causing damage to a police post's wall and roof. Investigative teams discovered several partial remains within the vehicle.
Ascertaining whether the person died inside the car or if the remains were thrown back into the vehicle after the explosion is proving to be a challenge for the police.

Searched for Three Hours
Dr. Umar Mohammed is the individual who evaded capture after explosives were seized in Faridabad, prompting an active search by Haryana and Jammu & Kashmir police. He is a central figure in the blast. The foremost question facing the police now is whether he is still alive, did he escape amidst the chaos of the blast, or was he killed in the explosion?
According to police investigations, it was found that Umar spent nearly three hours in the Suhrah Masjid's parking lot searching online for updates on his associates' arrests in Faridabad. Investigation agencies have successfully tracked 11 hours of Umar's vehicle movement.
Officials stated on Tuesday that an initial examination of the explosion near the Red Fort suggests the blast might have occurred mistakenly when an explosive device, crafted in haste after an inter-state terror module crackdown, was being transported.
Investigators have honed in on Dr. Umar Mohammed from Pulwama, who was driving the car used in the explosion.
On Tuesday, Jammu & Kashmir police collected a DNA sample from Umar's mother to establish biological connections.
A senior police officer noted, "Following the raids in Faridabad, the suspect might have panicked, forcing him to change locations hurriedly, thereby increasing the chance of an accidental trigger in this case."
