The Bharatiya Janata Party has sent a legal notice to Delhi government Cabinet Minister Aatishi. On Tuesday at a press conference, Aatishi claimed, 'I was approached to join the BJP and was told to save my political career by doing so. If I didn't join the BJP, I would be arrested within a month.'
In response to this statement, the media department of Delhi BJP served a defamation notice on Aatishi, accusing her of tarnishing the party worker's honor. The party has requested evidence of who contacted her. They also enquired whether she was contacted over the phone or in person.

Furthermore, Aatishi alleged that while senior leadership of the Aam Aadmi Party is under custody, following the surge of lakhs of people at Ramlila Maidan and AAP's street struggle, the BJP plans to incarcerate four prominent leaders very soon. She mentioned the possibility of a raid by the Enforcement Directorate at her residence and those of her relatives, indicating that summons and eventual arrests could follow.
BJP Strikes Back
The BJP immediately reacted to Aatishi's press conference, commenting that as soon as the liquor scam kingpin named his two pawns, their anxiety escalated. Accusing them of recycling worn scripts without evidence or witnesses, the BJP challenged Aatishi and other AAP leaders for not registering an FIR. They stressed the importance of addressing issues rather than making baseless allegations, inviting Aatishi to explain why her name was mentioned by the kingpin, report submitted by Vijay Nair, and whether the liquor scam bribe money was solely utilized in the Goa elections or elsewhere as well.
