Amidst rising tensions with Pakistan, Defense Minister Rajnath Singh has arrived in Srinagar to review security in Jammu and Kashmir and interact with soldiers. This marks his first visit to the region following the Pahalgam terrorist attack on April 22 and the ceasefire agreement on May 10. His visit is seen as a significant step in strengthening national defense.

In Srinagar, Rajnath Singh asserted, “They attacked based on religion, and we retaliated based on actions against terrorists and Pakistan. I question the world: Are nuclear weapons safe in the hands of such an irresponsible and malicious nation?”

'Balancing Passion with Prudence…'

The Defense Minister paid tribute to innocent civilians harmed in the Pahalgam attacks and the soldiers who bravely laid down their lives during 'Operation Sindoor'. He also expressed gratitude for the courage of injured soldiers, wishing them a speedy recovery.

He further added that experiencing the soldiers’ energy, which has decimated adversaries, was his intention. Rajnath praised their significant operations beyond the border, stating such actions will never be forgotten by the enemy. He commended the soldiers for maintaining composure alongside enthusiasm to dismantle enemy positions strategically.

Rajnath Singh emphasized, “India's resolve against terrorism is demonstrated by our disregard for nuclear blackmail. Witnessing Pakistan's frequent irresponsible threats of nuclear weapons, I propose to the international community that Pakistan’s nuclear arsenal should be brought under the watchful eye of the International Atomic Energy Agency (IAEA).”

A Significant Message to Pakistan

Rajnath Singh’s visit to Jammu & Kashmir conveys a strong message to Pakistan, addressing propaganda regarding the damaged Avantipura Airbase. His presence is intended to counteract these claims, ensuring that Pakistan’s misinformation holds no ground.

A meeting at 15 Corps (Chinar Corps) was also held, discussing security conditions involving officials from different sectors of Jammu and Kashmir. Rajnath Singh visited the LOC, boosting the morale of the troops and gathering feedback from armed forces.
