During an exclusive interaction with Aaj Tak, Sharma mentioned, 'I am hurt that the party did not defend me. The conspirators against me have won. I surrendered the ticket voluntarily. However, I am not leaving Congress.'

Shashi Tharoor Led the Opposition

The story unfolded when senior Congress leader and MP from Thiruvananthapuram, Shashi Tharoor, challenged Sharma's candidacy for Jaipur City. Tharoor, on platform 'X', suggested that a transformative experience on the road to the location '24 Akbar' changed Sharma's fate. This reflects one of Tharoor's tweets directed against Sharma at the time.

Tharoor Shared Tweet About the Attack

In January 2021, Shashi Tharoor tweeted about 'The Jaipur Dialogues,' stating, 'Shashi Tharoor is indeed Rahul Gandhi – he merely pilfered a thesaurus on his way out of the library.'
