The two phases of voting for the Lok Sabha elections in India have concluded. On a Friday, the second phase saw approximately 60% voter turnout across 88 constituencies. Following this, the third phase of elections is set for May 7th, encompassing 95 seats spread over 12 states and union territories.
A total of 2963 nominations were filed for these 95 Lok Sabha seats. Election officials deemed 1563 of these applications valid. After the deadline for withdrawal of nominations, 1351 candidates remain in the fray.
