Congress Unveils Second Candidate List in Delhi

In preparation for the upcoming Delhi Assembly elections, Congress has released its second list of candidates. It includes 26 names. Late Tuesday evening, the Congress Central Election Committee (CEC) convened for a meeting where discussions centered around candidates for 35 seats. Ultimately, decisions were finalized for 26 seats, while the remaining 9 were held pending. This marks the second CEC meeting concerning the Delhi elections.

Congress has advanced Farhad Suri from Jangpura, a seat previously held by the Aam Aadmi Party's leader and former Deputy Chief Minister, Manish Sisodia. Additionally, Rajesh Lilothia from Seemapuri, Mukesh Sharma from Uttam Nagar, and Devendra Sehrawat from Bijwasan will compete in the elections.

The First List Included 21 Candidates

Previously, Congress announced 21 candidates for the Delhi Assembly elections. Ticket allocations include Aruna Kumari from Narela, Mangesh Tyagi from Burari, Shivank Singhal from Adarsh Nagar, Devendra Yadav from Badli, Jai Kishan from Sultanpur Majra, Rohit Chaudhary from Nagloi Jat, and Praveen Jain from Salimabad. Meanwhile, Ragini Nayak from Wazirpur, Anil Bhardwaj from Sadar Bazar, Mudit Aggarwal from Chandni Chowk, and Haroon Yusuf from Ballimaran received tickets.

Others named include PS Bawa from Tilak Nagar, Adarsh Shastri from Dwarka, and Sandeep Dikshit from New Delhi. Abhishek Dutt from Kasturba Nagar, Rajendra Tanwar from Chhatarpur, Jai Prakash from Ambedkar Nagar, Garvit Singhvi from Greater Kailash, Anil Kumar from Patparganj, Abdul Rahman from Seelampur, and Ali Mehdi from Mustafabad were also selected.
