The situation between Israel and Lebanon’s Hezbollah continues to escalate. On Saturday, Hezbollah launched a relentless missile attack on Israel, causing significant damage to several homes within Israeli territory. The video of the aftermath was shared by IDF on their social media account, showing multiple homes engulfed in flames. Hezbollah carried out these attacks in retaliation to the Israeli airstrike on Friday.
On Friday, Israel conducted several airstrikes within the Lebanese border targeting Hezbollah strongholds. Tragically, 8 people including a child lost their lives, and numerous people were injured. Several homes and vehicles also sustained damage. The Israeli army declared the death of Mohammad Mahmoud Najem, an operator for Hezbollah's drone and rocket unit, which Hezbollah confirmed.
Hezbollah also acknowledged the demise of four of its other members. Following the attack, Abdullah Murtada, the uncle of the deceased child, stated, 'We live in a land of martyrs. We are unafraid of any country or its attacks. Our children, our women, and our men are always ready for martyrdom. We take pride in this honorable child’s sacrifice, which symbolizes Jabal Amel (southern Lebanon).'
In response to the Israeli attacks on Hezbollah strongholds, Hezbollah unleashed a barrage of rockets within the Israeli border. Most were intercepted by the Israeli air defense system, although some landed in fields outside Israeli towns. Heavy cross-border firing has been ongoing since last October following Israel’s attack on Gaza. Over 500 lives have been lost in Lebanon due to these continuous assaults.

Meanwhile, in Gaza, severe clashes between Hamas and Israel have persisted for the past 11 months. The ongoing fierce attacks by the Israeli military have resulted in a daily toll of numerous casualties. The Gaza Ministry of Health claims that the death toll has surpassed 40,000. As of now, 40,265 people have died. In the latest strikes on Friday, 16 individuals, primarily children and women, lost their lives.
On Friday, the Israeli military conducted a major aerial strike on Khan Yunis and Deir al-Balah in Gaza. The drone strikes left a horrifying scene. On Thursday, IDF targeted a school and a residential building, resulting in the deaths of 3 individuals and injuries to approximately 15 others. A video of this attack has gone viral, showing the Israeli army’s missile hitting the school and house.
The strike caused a large building to collapse, raising a massive cloud of smoke. This created chaos across the region as people scrambled to rescue the injured from the rubble and rush them to hospitals. In a separate drone attack on Khan Yunis, around 9 individuals were killed. In Deir al-Balah, 8 more people died. The Israeli army has targeted several Hamas sites in these assaults.
