Monsoon fury persists in many states including Himachal. Gujarat faces heavy rain troubles with red alerts in three districts. The Meteorological Department warns that respite is not expected soon for areas like Surat, as torrential rains pour across the state.
Deluge in Rajasthan
Meanwhile, Rajasthan continues to experience heavy showers. On Tuesday, heavy rainfall graced various parts, including the capital Jaipur. The meteorological report registers 77.8 mm of rain in Jaipur alone. Other areas receiving rainfall include Sikar at 13 mm, Dungarpur at 10 mm, Mount Abu at 7 mm, Pratapgarh at 4 mm, and Kota at 2.9 mm.
Monsoon Reaches Chandigarh and Haryana
The monsoon has likewise reached parts of Chandigarh and Haryana. From June 25 to June 30, the Indian Meteorological Department forecasts heavy rainfall across Punjab, Haryana, and Chandigarh. With showers, temperatures saw a decline, recording a maximum of 34.1 degrees Celsius in Chandigarh, 33.9 in Amritsar, 33.5 in Ludhiana, 33.1 in Patiala, 34.1 in Pathankot, and 33.3 in Mohali.
