A Balochistan leader has penned an open letter to India's Foreign Minister S. Jaishankar. In this letter, the Baloch leader cautioned that China might deploy military forces in Balochistan in the coming months, posing a serious threat not only to the region but also to India.

Addressing Jaishankar in a letter written on January 2026, Mir Yar Baloch, declaring himself as a representative of Balochistan, warned that if the defense and freedom forces of Balochistan are continuously ignored, China could station its troops there, posing a danger to the future of both India and Balochistan.

The letter stated that if the capacities of Balochistan’s defense and freedom forces are not further strengthened and they continue to be overlooked using outdated methods, it is entirely possible for China to deploy its military contingents in Balochistan in the coming months.

He emphasized that the presence of Chinese soldiers on Baloch soil, without the will of the sixty million Baloch people, would be an unimaginable threat and challenge for the future of both India and Balochistan.

Expressing concern over the China-Pakistan Economic Corridor (CPEC), he stated that the strategic alliance between Pakistan and China has now reached what has been termed its final stage, further exacerbating the situation. He called for robust and mutual cooperation between India and Balochistan, highlighting that the threats they face are real and immediate.

Mir Yar Baloch also mentioned the centuries-old historical and cultural ties between India and Balochistan, citing sacred sites such as the Hinglaj Mata Temple as symbols of shared heritage.

In this letter, he also praised the actions taken under Operation Sindoor by the Modi government, stating that the campaign targeting terror bases sponsored by Pakistan exemplifies an extraordinary commitment to regional security and justice, following the Pahalgam terrorist attack. In conclusion, Mir Yar Baloch expressed hope for stronger cooperation between our two great nations.
