A video from Gurugram, Haryana, has gone viral on social media, showcasing a group of lads vandalizing a tea shop. The victim has filed a complaint, prompting the police to register a case and begin their investigation. The shopkeeper has been left shaken by the incident. It is reported that the altercation was over a mere Rs. 9, which occurred on the 2nd of March.
The incident took place in a tea shop in Sector 18 Old Delhi Road, known for its 'Pandharpuri' tea, situated opposite gate number 1 of Maruti Suzuki. The brawl was recorded on CCTV, with Sahil Tiwari being the sole employee in the shop at the time of the attack.
Tea Shop Vandalized by Local Thugs
The clear footage from the viral video shows a group of four to five men entering the shop, causing goods to fall with kicks, then proceeding to engage in extensive vandalism and physically assault the shopkeeper. The victim, Sahil, informed the police that some people had come to the shop to drink tea around 8 PM on March 2nd. Sahil served them tea worth Rs. 15, but the accuses started insisting on paying only Rs. 12 for it. This led to a dispute that escalated into full-scale destruction of the shop.
Police Begin Investigation After Registering Case
A complaint regarding the entire episode was lodged at the Palam Vihar station. According to the police, the perpetrators remain at large. The Chief Minister has sought information about the viral content on social media. The police have asserted that they are conducting a serious investigation and will soon apprehend the culprits.
