Team India Arrival Updates:

The Indian cricket team has made a triumphant return home after clinching the T20 World Cup 2024. They arrived at Delhi Airport Terminal 3 where special bus arrangements had been made for their arrival. The team completed their immigration formalities upon arrival, then headed to the ITC Maurya Hotel.

Eager fans had already gathered at Delhi Airport to catch a glimpse of Team India. As soon as they emerged from the airport, the crowd erupted with cheers of 'India-India'.

The Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI) shared a celebratory video on social media. In the video, the players, including Rohit Sharma and Virat Kohli, can be seen with the trophy, with Rohit Sharma even waving it triumphantly. You can watch the video below.

The Indian team emerged victorious against South Africa in the T20 Cup final in Barbados on June 29, winning the match by 7 runs. According to the schedule, the team's flight arrived in Delhi around 6 AM on July 4th.

The energy of the fans at Delhi Airport was palpable. Some had been there since late night, eager to witness the champion players in person.

At the ITC Maurya Hotel, players received a grand welcome. Videos show Indian head coach Rahul Dravid amongst the team, greeting the admirers.

BCCI Secretary Jay Shah made a special announcement encouraging fans to join in the victory parade. He posted, 'Join us in celebrating our World Champion Team India's victory parade. Remember the date, July 4th, 5 PM, between Marine Drive and Wankhede Stadium.'

Rohit Sharma also made an emotional appeal regarding the victory parade. He posted, 'We want to enjoy this special moment with all of you. So come join us on July 4th, 5 PM, at Marine Drive and Wankhede for a victory celebration.'

Such a parade was also organized 17 years ago when a team led by Mahendra Singh Dhoni won the inaugural T20 World Cup in South Africa, defeating rivals Pakistan in the final. Under Rohit Sharma's captainship, the team secured the T20 World Cup title on June 29th, beating South Africa by 7 runs.
