Former Chief Minister of Jharkhand, Champai Soren, amidst rumors of joining BJP, has expressed his discontent in a rebellious post on social media platform X. In his post, Champai Soren revealed that he was emotionally distressed due to disrespectful behavior over the past three days, but they were only concerned with the chair. It felt as if I had no existence in the party to which I had dedicated my entire life. Several humiliating incidents occurred that I don't want to mention now. After so much disrespect and humiliation, I am forced to search for alternative paths.

'Who Could I Show This Wound to My Self-esteem?'

Champai said that in his four-decade-long impeccable political journey, it was the first time he felt broken from within. I didn't know what to do. I sat quietly for two days, introspecting, looking for my mistakes in the entire episode. I had no greed for power at all, but who could I show the wound to my self-esteem? Where could I express the pain caused by my own people?

'Swallowed This Bitter Pill of Humiliation'

The former CM, expressing his dissatisfaction, wrote that when I came to power, I vowed to serve the state paying homage to heroes like Baba Tilka Manjhi, Bhagwan Birsa Munda, and Sido-Kanhu. Every child in Jharkhand knows that during my tenure, I never wronged anyone. Meanwhile, the day after Hul Divas, I learned that all my programs for the next two days were called off by the party leadership. One was a public event in Dumka, and the other was a distribution ceremony of appointment letters to PGT teachers. On inquiry, I was told that a legislative party meeting was called on July 3 by the coalition, and until then, you cannot attend any program as the CM. Could anything be more humiliating in a democracy than someone else canceling a chief minister's programs? Despite swallowing this bitter pill of humiliation, I said that the appointment letter distribution is in the morning, and the legislative party meeting in the afternoon, I will attend it after that. But it was firmly denied.

'...Then Perhaps the Situation Would Have Been Different'

He said that when the central executive committee of the party hasn't met for years and unilateral orders are passed, where do I go to express my pain? I am counted among the senior members in this party, others are juniors, and my seniors, the supreme leaders, are no longer active in politics due to health reasons. What option did I have? If they had been active, perhaps the situation would have been different.

'I Was Not Even Told the Agenda of the Meeting'

Champai said that technically, the right to call a legislative party meeting belongs to the CM, but I was not even informed about the agenda of the meeting. During the meeting, I was asked to resign. I was astonished, but I had no attachment to power, so I immediately resigned. But the wound to my self-esteem left my heart emotional.

'A New Chapter of My Life is About to Begin'

The former CM said that with a heavy heart, I announced in the same legislative party meeting that a new chapter of my life is about to begin. I had three options. First, to retire from politics. Second, to form my own organization. And third, if any companion is found on this path, to proceed with them. From that day till now and in the upcoming Jharkhand Assembly elections, all options are open for me on this journey.

'The State's Public Will Evaluate the Decisions We Made'

Champai Soren said that regardless of any position I held, I was always available for the people, addressing their issues, and striving for the better future they dreamt of with Jharkhand state. On January 31, in an unprecedented event, India Block chose me to serve Jharkhand as its 12th Chief Minister. From the first to the last day of my tenure (July 3), I performed my duties towards the state with full dedication and commitment. During this period, we took many decisions in public interest, and I was always available for everyone as before. The state’s public will evaluate those decisions considering everyone, including elders, women, youth, students, and every section of society in the state.

You May Have Many Questions: Champai

Champai Soren, in his rebellious post, said that you might have many questions in your mind about what happened that brought the son of a poor farmer from a small village in Kolhan to this point. He said that from raising the voice of workers against industrial houses at the beginning of his public life to the Jharkhand Movement, I have always practiced people-centric politics. I have continuously strived to ensure the rights of the state's tribals, native inhabitants, poor, laborers, students, and backward sections of society.
