In a disturbing revelation from Bulandshahr, Uttar Pradesh, police have apprehended a primary school principal accused of sexually exploiting female students by showing them inappropriate content on his mobile phone. The suspect is identified as Pratap Singh.
As per complaints registered with the police, Singh allegedly touched the girls inappropriately, and as a result, students aged between 9 and 12 ceased attending school. The report goes on to allege that Singh threatened the students with failure in exams if they discussed the matter at home.
Accused Principal Sent to Prison
Superintendent of Police (Rural) Rohit Mishra confirmed that a case has been registered at the Araniya police station under the relevant sections of the Indian Penal Code and the Protection of Children from Sexual Offences (POCSO) Act. The accused has been arrested and jailed.
Similar Case Reported in Dholpur
A similar incident was also reported recently in Dholpur, Rajasthan. A government school teacher was suspended for misconduct towards a student. Subsequently, a directive was issued for the suspended teacher to mark attendance at the Chief Block Education Officer's office during the suspension period.
The Teacher Apologized to the Girl's Family
In Basai Nabab town's Government Senior Secondary School, it was reported that a teacher harassed a twelfth-grade female student near the sports room during practicals. The accused teacher reached out to the student's family before the girl returned home to inform them of the incident and apologize for his misconduct.
