Following the heinous double murder in Budaun, Uttar Pradesh, a revelation concerning the wife of slain suspect Sajid has surfaced. His wife Sana is well; neither hospitalized, pregnant nor in need of money for treatment, as Sajid claimed. She has been staying at her parental home for the past 15 days. Sajid had personally taken her to her parents' place, where she has been living with her mother, Miskeen.
This raises questions about whether Sajid had premeditated the murder plot, considering he dropped his wife off at her parents' home 15 days prior and also closed his shop early on the day of the incident. Later that evening, he was seen arriving at contractor Vinod's residence with his brother Javed. At the time, Vinod's wife, Sangeeta, was there with their three children.
Sajid demanded five thousand rupees under the pretext of his wife's illness
Upon reaching Vinod's home, located near the Mandi Committee checkpoint in Budaun's Baba Colony, murder suspect Sajid asked for tea from Sangeeta. Simultaneously, he concocted a story about his wife Sana's illness to borrow five thousand rupees. He went upstairs before Sangeeta could bring the tea, where Vinod's children were playing. He sent one child downstairs under the guise of fetching water.
He then lethally attacked the two children with a razor. The episode claimed the lives of 12-year-old Ayush and 8-year-old Ahaan a.k.a. Hani, while Yuvraj was injured. Hearing the commotion, the mother rushed upstairs only to see Sajid and Javed coming down, covered in blood with the weapon in hand. The house was thrown into chaos. After the assault, both culprits fled. Tensions ignited among the locals due to the suspected community affiliation of the assailants.

In the aftermath, the community was poised to turn stones
A furious crowd vented their anger through destruction and arson. Residents were ready to raze every brick in the area. As soon as the news of the incident spread, a hefty police force arrived, managing to pacify the crowd. Using mobile surveillance, the police began to trace the suspects' location. Sajid's whereabouts were soon discovered. Police encircled him from all sides.
Upon sighting the police, Sajid opened fire. He was killed in a responsive action by the police team. The search for his brother Javed is ongoing. Two other suspects' involvement has emerged, and the police search for them along with the actual motive, which remains undisclosed. Initially, it was reported that there was a feud between Vinod and Sajid. It is alleged that the grisly crime was committed over this animosity.
However, Vinod has categorically denied any enmity between them. Local contractor Vinod Singh manages construction of overhead tanks under the 'Every house water supply scheme.' Directly opposite Vinod's residence is Sajid's barber shop. Sangeeta, Vinod's wife, runs a beauty parlour in the lower part of their home. As their clientele differ, there was no business rivalry either.

The final rites were performed on both children after the postmortem
Senior Police Superintendent Alok Priyadarshi reported the completion of the postmortem on both children. A murder investigation is underway, involving five teams dedicated to capturing Javed. The situation is under control. Questions regarding the cause of the incident remain pending, based on family's statement. SP asserts that after Javed's capture, the motive will become apparent. Law and order are being maintained, and no disturbances are being allowed. Sajid and Javed's father, Babu, and his uncle, Kayamuddin, are detained for interrogation. The unfortunate demise of the children is acknowledged, and the encounter deemed justifiable.
Father Vinod Kumar's complaint led to an FIR registered at Budaun's Civil Lines station, case number 191/24. The police have filed a case under IPC Sections 452, 302, and 307. According to the FIR, Sajid and Javed arrived at Vinod's house on a motorcycle between 6:45 and 7:00 on a Tuesday evening. Sajid entered the house first, while Javed stayed outside on the bike.
