Following the inclusion of Vinesh Phogat and Bajrang Punia into the Congress party, former President of the Indian Wrestling Federation, Brij Bhushan Sharan Singh, has been consistently commenting on them. Moreover, he has labelled the female wrestlers' movement as a Congress-driven initiative. Brij Bhushan has been making such statements especially as Haryana approaches its elections.
