Indian pharma warehouse in Kyiv devastated by missile strike; Ukraine accuses Russia

An Indian pharmaceutical company’s warehouse in Kyiv came under attack during a missile strike by Russian forces, the Ukrainian embassy in Delhi reported on Saturday. Despite Moscow's claimed special ties with India, the embassy highlighted deliberate targeting of Indian businesses. The devastated warehouse belonged to Kusum, a leading Indian pharmaceutical company.

What did the Ukrainian embassy say?

In a social media post on platform X, Ukraine's embassy in India tweeted, 'Today, a Russian missile hit the warehouse of Indian pharmaceutical company Kusum in Ukraine. Despite asserting a special friendship with India, Moscow is intentionally targeting Indian businesses, destroying medications made for children and the elderly.'

So far, the Indian government or pharmaceutical company Kusum have not confirmed the attack.

Britain's ambassador to Ukraine, Martin Harris, also posted on X, alleging that Russia's drone attacks targeted and destroyed Kusum's pharma warehouse. The terror campaign against Ukrainian citizens by Russia continues.

Hostilities between Russia and Ukraine have been ongoing since February 2022. In the last three years, the conflict has claimed over 150,000 lives. Last month, both nations had agreed not to target each other’s energy facilities. However, both sides continue to exchange accusations over continued attacks on these infrastructures.
