BJP-JDS to Conduct Protest March

Sources have informed that top BJP figures might join on the last day in Mysuru. The news suggests that national BJP president JP Nadda might participate. They accused that, for the first time in Karnataka's history, the CM is not issuing any statements on such accusations. We plan to bring this issue to the public.

What is the MUDA Scam?

In the village of Kesare in Mysuru district, there were about 3 acres of land in the name of Siddaramaiah's wife Parvati. MUDA acquired this land for developmental work. In exchange, MUDA gave Parvati a plot of 38,283 square feet in Vijayanagar, Mysuru in 2021. The land given in Vijayanagar is in an upscale area of South Mysuru. Allegations arose that the land in Vijayanagar given to Parvati was much more valuable than her land in Kesare, causing a loss to MUDA.

In fact, Parvati was given the land under the '50:50 Incentive Scheme'. MUDA implemented this scheme in 2020. Under this scheme, those whose undeveloped land is acquired are given developed land equal to 50% of the acquired land.

BJP Demands CM's Resignation

The Karnataka BJP alleged that under this scheme, 85 thousand applicants did not receive land. These applicants included middle and lower-middle-class individuals. Despite this, land was promptly given to the CM's family. In connection with the alleged scam, cases have been filed against Siddaramaiah's wife, his brother Mallikarjun, and another individual in the police.

BJP also claimed that many influential people received land. Allegations asserted that this caused a loss of approximately 4 thousand crores to the government. The BJP demanded the CM's resignation over this issue. The uproar was so intense that a few days ago, BJP MLAs slept in the assembly.
