The Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) has issued a show-cause notice to its former minister Jayant Sinha, compelling him to clarify his position within two days. The party is questioning why Sinha has shown disinterest in participating in campaign efforts and organizational activities in the Hazaribagh Lok Sabha constituency since the nomination of Manish Jaiswal. Sinha also abstained from exercising his voting rights this election season. Concurrently, BJP legislator from Dhanbad, Raj Sinha, also received a notice.

It is reported that Jayant Sinha is disgruntled over the party's decision not to issue him a ticket, which led to his withdrawal from active campaigning. Prompted by his attitude, the party has now issued a show-cause notice and given him two days to respond.

In the notice sent to Jayant Sinha, BJP stated that since the party announced Manish Jaiswal as the candidate from Hazaribagh Lok Sabha constituency, you have neither shown interest in campaign promotion nor in organizational tasks. Moreover, you deemed it unnecessary to exercise your democratic right to vote, tarnishing the party image with your conduct.

Following directives from state party chief Babulal Marandi, the notice was issued to Jayant Sinha, instructing him to submit his clarification promptly.

Legislator from Dhanbad also served with notice

Meanwhile, Dhanbad legislator Raj Sinha also found himself under the BJP's scrutiny for making statements against the party candidate. Party general secretary Aditya Sahu emphasized to AT/IT that this matter is about discipline, and the party has zero tolerance in such incidents. The internal factional disputes within the BJP have come to the fore surrounding the selection of election candidates.

In fact, Jayant Sinha, existing MP for Hazaribagh and a leader of BJP, had distanced himself from election campaigning. However, when Jaiswal was announced as the candidate back in March, he had met with Jayant, who then posted on X platform, 'Met with BJP Hazaribagh candidate Manish Jaiswal today. I wish him success in the elections. We will ensure a record-breaking victory for the lotus (BJP symbol).' Moreover, he had previously announced his retirement from electoral politics just before the announcement of the ticket was made.

Jayant's son appears on India Block's stage

Recently, BJP leader Jayant Sinha's son, Ashir Sinha, was seen at a Congress (India Block) event in Jharkhand, which stirred up considerable controversy. Congress state chief Rajesh Thakur explained that the rally invited Yashwant Sinha, but due to ill health, he sent his grandson to represent him.

Yashwant Sinha was the opposition's presidential candidate

Jayant's father, Yashwant Sinha, was associated with BJP for a long time before joining TMC. Later, he announced his resignation from TMC. Two years ago, Yashwant was also the opposition's presidential nominee and has represented the Hazaribagh seat just like his son. He is also credited for playing a significant role in Jayant's two electoral victories.
