On the eve of Chhath Puja, Union Home Minister Amit Shah addressed the issue of Yamuna's cleanliness at the Panchayat Aaj Tak in Bihar. Shah emphasized that cleaning the Yamuna is not a vote-bank issue but a matter of faith for millions of devotees.
Amit Shah explained that the blessing of the Yamuna is evident in the BJP governance of its banks, spanning Uttarakhand, Haryana, and Delhi, and meeting UP's Prayagraj. All these states are under BJP rule today.
Shah reassured that by 2029, after Diwali, brothers and sisters celebrating Bhai Dooj will not be disappointed after a Yamuna bath. By then, clean Yamuna waters will be a reality.

In Aaj Tak's forum, Amit Shah stated that Bihar remembers Lalu's governance well. People today understand that a return to Lalu's rule signifies a return to 'Jungle Raj.' Bihar's citizens won't give him any chance of return.
Attacking Congress, Shah argued that Congress has always had a habit of belittling smaller parties, subsuming their seats and undermining them. According to Shah, this has led to Congress's disappearance in key states like Bihar, Uttar Pradesh, Tamil Nadu, and Bengal, which account for 50% of Lok Sabha's representation.
Addressing the question of NDA's leadership in Bihar, Shah affirmed, 'We are contesting under Nitish Kumar's leadership, and he is at the helm of our campaign.' Shah lauded Kumar as a significant leader in Indian politics, portraying him as a staunch socialist.
