A disastrous blaze caused by a short circuit erupted in the Sigri Thuthi village under Ramnagar Police Station in Bagaha, Bihar, late Monday night, creating a catastrophe. Fire erupted from one house during the night and spread with such ferocity that it engulfed a neighboring house within moments. In no time, both houses were reduced to a pile of rubble, leaving the affected families facing devastation.
The intensity of the conflagration was such that the five goats tied inside the house were consumed by flames. Also destroyed were paddy, rice, clothes, and around 80,000 rupees in cash, all turning to ashes. The sudden outbreak of the fire threw the entire village into chaos, with people rushing to extinguish the blaze using buckets and pumps, battling the fierce flames.
As soon as the word spread, a team of firefighters raced to the scene. With the invaluable assistance of the villagers, the fire brigade managed to bring the blaze under control after a relentless struggle lasting several hours. Despite their gallant efforts, everything the afflicted families owned was lost to the fire. The administration is currently assessing the damage and initiating steps to provide relief to the affected families.
