The Bihar Assembly elections see an intense strategic session conclude in Delhi, held at the residence of Congress President Mallikarjun Kharge. It featured the presence of RJD leader Tejashwi Yadav and Leader of Opposition in the Lok Sabha, Rahul Gandhi. The meeting involved in-depth discussions on ticket distribution formulas and strategic election plans.
With 243 seats up for grabs, Grand Alliance leaders are in full action mode. Tejashwi's meeting with Congress President Mallikarjun Kharge on Tuesday not only tackled seat-sharing but also talked about the alliance's Chief Minister face.
There's a significant Grand Alliance meeting set in Patna with Congress on April 17, adding substantial weight to Tejashwi Yadav's Delhi visit and meetings with national Congress President Mallikarjun Kharge and Rahul Gandhi.
Emerging from the meeting, Tejashwi Yadav announced, "On April 17, alliance leaders will convene in Bihar. Strategies aren't disclosed to the media, but preparations are ongoing. We're determined to move forward with strength. For the past 20 years, the state government has treated Bihar with step-motherly neglect. Bihar remains the poorest state with low incomes and high migration rates. We aim to address these election issues, exposing government's failures remains our duty."
Concerning the CM candidacy, Tejashwi expressed, "These matters are internal. When we meet, decisions will surface. No need for concern. We will determine sequencing. Nitish has been hijacked. Post-election, whether he’ll be CM remains unclear. The people are the true authority. The NDA won’t form the government; Bihar will see an India Alliance government."
Insiders suggest the emphasis was on partnership in elections. The strategy was deliberated. Tejashwi indicated a Grand Alliance government is on the anvil. A strong front will be issued. State Congress President Rajesh Kumar stated, "Further meetings are planned. We are five partners in the coalition. Meetings will be timely. All discussions will occur."
Significant Meeting of Congress and RJD in Delhi to Discuss Seat Distribution for Bihar Elections
Earlier, upon arriving in Delhi, Tejashwi remarked, "Today’s meeting is formal. We’ll discuss strategies for Bihar (elections). Meanwhile, RJD’s Rajya Sabha MP Manoj Jha declared, it’s a formal meeting. Considering Congress’s past partnerships, RJD stands as its oldest ally. This meeting considers Bihar's entire context with a six to eight-month election gap, making discussion crucial."
Embrace Dalits, Do Not Harass Them
Prior in Raghopur, Tejashwi appealed to the Yadav community stating, do not marginalize the Dalit community. Embrace them. His key message was unity. Avoid oppressing the impoverished. The poor are our masters. To our community, he conveyed, embrace Dalits, grant them respect. Once they receive respect, no force can prevent your government from ascending.
