Bihar Election 2025 Date: Union Minister and President of the Lok Janshakti Party (Ram Vilas), Chirag Paswan, clarified on Wednesday that while he maintains a familial relationship with Rashtriya Janata Dal (RJD) leader Tejashwi Yadav, there is no possibility of a political alliance due to deep ideological differences.
Meeting of Chirag Paswan and Tejashwi Yadav
Last week, Chirag Paswan and Tejashwi Yadav had an unexpected meeting in Nawada, Bihar, sparking speculations of an alliance. Reacting to these rumors, Chirag explained, 'Our familial connection dates back to our fathers' time. Socially, we can meet, but politically we hold very different views. If an alliance were possible, we would have been together in the 2020 state elections. I chose to contest alone then.'
Chirag Passes Joyous Remarks on Tejashwi's Newborn
Chirag Paswan expressed happiness over the birth of Tejashwi Yadav's son, saying, 'I'm delighted to have a nephew. Any meetings around this joyous occasion shouldn't be overanalyzed. Our encounter in Nawada involved just a few exchanged words.'
Meeting the Family of Martyred Soldier Manish Kumar
Both leaders were in Nawada to meet the family of martyred soldier Manish Kumar. They shook hands and exchanged a few words, a moment that became widely circulated in the media, amplifying political buzz.
When asked about Tej Pratap Yadav's expulsion from RJD, Chirag refrained from commenting, stating, 'This is an internal matter of their party and family.'
Chirag expressed enthusiasm for Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s two-day visit to Bihar, saying, 'This visit will lay the groundwork for the NDA's victory in the upcoming state assembly elections.' He voiced concerns over increasing crime rates and urged Chief Minister Nitish Kumar to address the issue seriously with strict actions.
