In the heart of Madhya Pradesh's capital city Bhopal, a heinous incident has emerged involving the assault of an eight-year-old girl within the confines of a private school. Following the parents' complaints, authorities have charged three individuals under the POCSO Act. Additionally, CM Mohan Yadav has mandated the formation of an SIT to investigate the matter.
Police revealed on Wednesday that they are endeavoring to ascertain the exact timeline of the event. According to news agencies, Misrod Police Station Inspector Manish Raj Bhadoriya stated that an alleged assault was perpetrated against a girl in a girls' hostel. Following the complaint, an IPC Section 376 and POCSO Act case was registered against three individuals on Tuesday night.
Bhadoriya informed that while the suspect's identities are recorded in the FIR, their verification is ongoing. Asked if any intoxicants were administrated to the child before the crime, he responded that clarity would come post-investigation.
Anticipating the Medical Report of the Child
He mentioned, "The procedures for the victim's medical examination and her statement recording are underway." Noting that multiple police teams have been formed to gather evidence linked to the case, he added that confirmation of assault would have to wait until the clinical examination report is public. They noticed injuries and swelling in the child's private areas. Detailed information will be available following the examination.
CM Mohan Yadav Takes Cognizance
Per the police official, since the event date is unclear, CCTV footage from the school's hostel has been recovered. After identifying the accused, arrests will be made. CM Mohan Yadav has also taken notice of the situation and ordered the assembly of an SIT for thorough investigation.
