An intriguing case emerged in Bhopal, the capital city of Madhya Pradesh. While the task was meant for police or administrative officers, social media users and influencers achieved it instead. A stolen French Bulldog from a bungalow in the VVIP area was found by Facebook users. This foreign breed dog belonged to a prominent IAS officer.
Here's what happened: On July 24th, around noon, a foreign breed dog vanished from the bungalow of a senior IAS officer, residing in the posh Char Imli area and stationed at a major department in Arera Hills.
The disappearance caused panic among the bungalow's staff. The IAS officer's wife had the servants search potential locations, but the attempts were futile.
Subsequently, the IAS officer's wife chose not to involve the police or administration but entrusted the mission to social media influencers.
A 'Missing' post was formally published, including the dog's image, stating: 'This French dog went missing on July 24th at noon from Char Imli; if seen, please contact the provided numbers.'
The shared information on social media platforms ignited an influencer-driven campaign. Eventually, the lost dog was recovered from the Kolar suburb of the city.
Reliable sources revealed that a person had taken the senior IAS's French Bulldog from outside the bungalow to his home. After finding the dog 48 hours later, the IAS couple finally breathed a sigh of relief. No complaint has been filed in this matter as of now.
