By-elections are taking place for 10 seats in Uttar Pradesh, and the political debate is heating up over women's safety. First, there was controversy over the Ayodhya incident, and now chaos erupts in Kannauj. Nawab Singh Yadav, a former block chief affiliated with the Samajwadi Party, has been arrested by the police for allegedly attempting to rape a 15-year-old girl. The Samajwadi Party has distanced itself from Nawab Singh and is now associating him with the BJP.

According to the police, the girl went to Nawab Singh Yadav to ask for a job. However, the spokesperson of the Samajwadi Party questioned why she was asking for a job at night. Before Kannauj, there were questions raised over the Ayodhya rape case involving the Samajwadi Party. This raises questions about whether there is any political connection to crime and women's safety, or if the connection is being highlighted due to the elections.

Gang Rape of a Minor in Ayodhya

A few days ago, a case of gang rape involving a minor was reported in Ayodhya. This incident occurred in the Pura Kalandar police station area. The accused filmed the assault and blackmailed the victim for a long time, repeatedly raping her. The incident came to light when the victim became two months pregnant.

Her family filed a complaint with the police, but initially, no action was taken. It was only after members of Hindu organizations and people from the Nishad Party showed outrage that the police arrested the Samajwadi Party's Bhadarasa Nagar president, Muyid Khan, and his bakery worker, Raju.

Rape Case in Kannauj Following Ayodhya Incident

After the incident in Ayodhya, a similar case has now emerged in Kannauj. This has sparked political statements focusing on the Kannauj issue. Both the Samajwadi Party and the BJP are attacking each other. All this is happening at a time when all parties are preparing for the by-elections for 10 seats in UP, with women's safety becoming the central issue.

Amidst the ongoing political drama, strong statements are being made. Union Minister Giriraj Singh is calling the Samajwadi Party a rapist party. Singh said that in Kannauj, Nawab Singh was representing Dimple Yadav. People say he's from that community. This proves that Akhilesh Yadav says grand things, but his entire party has become a sanctuary for rapists and criminals. Amid growing political speculation on Nawab Singh, CM Yogi has again warned criminals.

Samajwadi Party's Defense

In response, Samajwadi Party MP Mohammad Mohibullah said that false allegations should not be made against anyone. Since the elections, after defeating the BJP and winning people's trust, the BJP has been trying to malign the Samajwadi Party in every incident. Incidents should not be connected to any party or religion.

Samajwadi Party Distances Itself from Nawab Singh

Following the controversy, the Samajwadi Party has distanced itself from Nawab Singh. But it should be noted that in July, when Nawab Singh's mother passed away, the Samajwadi Party tweeted their condolences and referred to him as their leader.

Ahead of the by-elections, this issue has sparked political controversy from all sides. On social media, pictures of Nawab Singh with various leaders have surfaced. In one, he can be seen with Rahul Gandhi and Akhilesh Yadav. In another, he is seen with Akhilesh and Dimple Yadav. He is also pictured with former BJP MP Subrat Pathak.

Statement from Former BJP MP Subrat Pathak

Regarding this, former Kannauj MP and BJP leader Subrat Pathak said that the Samajwadi Party is confused. Showing a picture with me and claiming he is my man is laughable. I went to the municipality worker's son's funeral, and that's where the photo was taken.

According to Subrat Pathak, Nawab Singh kidnapped opponents to ensure Dimple Yadav's unopposed victory. He served as Dimple's representative officially. The sudden disassociation from Nawab exposes the Samajwadi Party's hypocritical face. When Akhilesh Yadav was Chief Minister, Nawab Singh was considered like a mini-CM of the district, with top officials coming to his court for recommendations.

Pathak further added that Akhilesh Yadav came forward to save the accused in the Ayodhya case because he was a Muslim but did nothing for a Hindu worker.

Nawab's Brother Speaks Out

Nawab Singh Yadav's younger brother Neelu Yadav dismissed the accusations as politically motivated. Neelu Yadav claimed the victim's aunt had previously trapped people in false cases and extorted money from them. Nawab Singh knew this woman for a long time. Former MP and BJP leader Subrat Pathak also attacked the Samajwadi Party on this issue.

Neelu Yadav said that the victim's aunt called Nawab Singh for a meeting and asked for help at the college. Local BJP and Samajwadi Party leaders conspired to bring Nawab Singh down politically. They had been planning this for a long time.

Nawab Singh Accused of Rape Attempt

Former block chief Nawab Singh is accused of attempting to rape a 15-year-old girl. It is reported that at 1:30 AM, a call was made to police number 112. The police team said the call came from a minor girl who complained about an attempted rape by Nawab Singh. The police acted promptly and arrested the accused.

During interrogation, the minor stated that she had gone to meet Nawab Singh Yadav with her aunt. She was told to go there for a job. A case has been registered under the Indian Penal Code and the POCSO Act. The accused was arrested, and an investigation is underway.

Victim Underwent Medical Examination

Meanwhile, the Kannauj victim underwent a medical examination at the district hospital under tight security. Her parents accompanied her during the examination. The police investigation is ongoing, and the accused has been sent to jail.

By-Election on 10 Seats in UP

This political drama is unfolding at a time when all parties are preparing for by-elections for 10 assembly seats in Uttar Pradesh. The seats up for election are Majhwa, Karhal, Sisamau, Phulpur, Katehari, Milkipur, Khair, Meerpur, Kundarki, and Ghaziabad. In the previous UP assembly elections, the Samajwadi Party won Karhal, Milkipur, Katehari, Sisamau, and Kundarki. The BJP won Phulpur, Khair, and Ghaziabad. Its ally, the Nishad Party, won Majhwa. Jayant Chaudhary's RLD won Meerpur, which was then an ally of the Samajwadi Party. Now, RLD is part of the BJP-led National Democratic Alliance.

In this election scenario, it remains to be seen which political party will benefit from the issue of women's safety.
