Meanwhile, Bangladeshi interim government’s chief advisor Mohammad Yunus has called Prime Minister Modi and assured the safety of Hindus.
Prime Minister Narendra Modi posted on X, "Spoke with Professor Muhammad Yunus over the phone. The chief advisor to the interim Government of Bangladesh discussed the current situation. Reaffirmed India's support for a democratic, stable, peaceful, and progressive Bangladesh. He assured the safety, security, and protection of Hindus and all minorities in Bangladesh."
PMO Also Issued a Statement
The Prime Minister's Office also issued a statement regarding the conversation between the two leaders. The PMO said, "The Prime Minister spoke with the chief advisor of the interim Government of Bangladesh over the phone. The Prime Minister reaffirmed India's support for a democratic, stable, peaceful, and progressive Bangladesh. The Prime Minister stressed the need to ensure the safety and protection of Hindus and all other minority communities by the interim government. Prof. Yunus assured the safety, security, and protection of Hindus and all minorities in Bangladesh."

He said that India, as a neighboring country, is worried about what happened in Bangladesh. He hopes that the situation will return to normal soon. After days of unrest and political turmoil in Bangladesh, an interim government was formed. Nobel Peace Prize winner Muhammad Yunus took the oath as the head of the interim government. Prime Minister Narendra Modi congratulated Muhammad Yunus after the swearing-in and urged for ensuring the safety of all citizens, including Hindus, in Bangladesh.
