In her Facebook post, former Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina alleged that Yunus relied on banned individuals to seize control, people whom she had tried to protect Bangladeshis from. After a single terrorist attack, strict actions were taken, leading to numerous arrests. Yet now, Bangladeshi jails stand empty as Yunus has released them, allowing these terrorists to reign.

Sheikh Hasina asserts that the constitution of our great Bengali nation, acquired through long struggles and liberation wars, cannot be tampered with by a radical leader who unlawfully seized power. He lacks the people's mandate and constitutional footing. She questions how Yunus, with no basis for his role as a chief advisor, can illegally alter laws without parliament and criticizes his ban on the Awami League.

Yet Yunus, she claims, is selling Bangladesh to America.

Moves to overthrow the interim government of Bangladesh are underway. The military and Bangladesh Nationalist Party demand elections by December. In response, interim government head Mohammad Yunus stated that undue pressure regarding elections or other issues will be met with public-backed counteractions.

Since Sheikh Hasina's departure from power in Bangladesh, instability has prevailed. She faced violent rebellion against her administration, forcing her to seek refuge in India. On August 5, 2024, a bloodless coup occurred in Bangladesh, prompting Hasina to remain in India since then.
