A shocking incident emerged from Bahraich district in Uttar Pradesh, where a man accused of animal cruelty was subjected to severe punishment by being tied to a pole and mercilessly beaten. A viral video of this assault is making rounds. Upon being alerted, local police officers immediately freed the man from his restraints. A conversation captured in the video shows the assaulters accusing him of stealing livestock.
Police Apprehend Three Suspects
The local police officer stated that the accused had previous charges of animal cruelty and slaughter against him. The beating was reportedly motivated by a financial dispute. The victim, identified as Raju Khan from Metukha Tarapur Khurd in the Ramgaon area, had cases against Keshav and Mayaram, sons of Jaggu, and Deepak, son of Jaggu, filed, resulting in their detention. The accused informed the police that Raju was involved in killing animals and was allegedly attempting to steal their livestock again on the day of the incident.
Incident Occurred on September 1
Ramgaon Police Station in-charge Alok Kumar Singh mentioned that the incident occurred following a drinking session on September 1, after which Keshav Ram, Mayaram, and Deepak tied Raju to a pole over an unsettled debt and beat him. Once the police were informed, they freed Raju and filed cases against and detained the three individuals involved. According to officer Singh, Raju is not known for a clean reputation, with four cases, including those of animal cruelty, already filed against him at Ramgaon police station.
