A chilling murder case has emerged from Bagaha district in Bihar, where a husband brutally murdered his wife and plotted to dispose of her body discreetly. However, the continuous silence of her phone and her father's persistence unraveled this horrific act. The incident is from the Bathwaria police station area under the Ramnagar police subdivision.
According to the police, after committing the heinous crime, the accused threw the body into a ditch under a dam, situated approximately 15 kilometers from their home, to eliminate all traces and silence any inquiries. The family grew concerned when they couldn't reach the deceased woman for several days, prompting them to visit her marital home, where they faced constant evasions.
With mounting suspicion, the woman's father filed a kidnapping and potential harm report at the Bathwaria police station. Given the gravity of the situation, a Special Investigation Team (SIT) was formed under the leadership of Ragini Kumari, the female SDPO of Ramnagar.
During the inquiry, the police detained the deceased woman's husband for rigorous questioning. Under intense interrogation, he confessed to murdering his wife with the help of his relatives. He admitted that the body was disposed of under the dam to destroy evidence and mislead the police.
Following the accused's indications, the police recovered the woman's body. After completing the post-mortem, subsequent legal actions were set in motion. The primary accused is now in police custody, while the involvement of other family members is still being scrutinized. Remarkably, within just six days, the Bagaha police successfully cracked this entire murder case.
