The process for releasing senior SP leader Azam Khan, who has been held in Sitapur Jail for 23 months, will commence early tomorrow morning. The jail administration has completed all preparations for his release. According to sources, Azam Khan is expected to be released around 7 AM on Tuesday.
Following his release, Azam Khan will proceed directly to Rampur, where he will be warmly welcomed by party workers and supporters. Special security measures have been implemented by the jail administration to ensure a peaceful release. The political circles are abuzz with talks regarding Azam Khan's release.
On this matter, Azam Khan's advocate, Zubair Ahmad Khan, stated, 'Court orders for Mohammed Azam Khan have been received from nearly 55, with others from different courts. I cannot specify the total number. Some warrants have already arrived there.'
Imprisoned in Multiple Cases
Senior leader of the Samajwadi Party and MP from Rampur, Azam Khan, is incarcerated in Sitapur Jail for various cases. The charges against him include land encroachment and damage to government property, among others. While he has been granted bail by the Allahabad High Court in some cases, legal proceedings are ongoing in others.
Recently, his wife, Tazeen Fatima, expressed concerns regarding his health in Sitapur Jail. She met him, bringing along his favorite Dashahari mangoes.
Prior to this, his son, Abdullah Azam, also visited him in jail, bringing medications and food supplies. During their meeting, discussions primarily revolved around family and legal matters.
