A disturbing case of alleged domestic harassment has surfaced once again from Etawah, Uttar Pradesh. A young man, burdened by his wife's ill-treatment, tragically took his own life. His body was discovered in a room at Jolly Hotel. There is also a video linked to the case where the young man declares that by the time anyone sees it, he will no longer be alive, lamenting the lack of laws to protect men and expressing his inability to endure the mental agony inflicted by his wife and in-laws. He pleads with his parents for forgiveness.
This heart-wrenching story begins with Mohit Yadav, a field engineer at a cement company, who lived in Dibiyapur, Auraiya district. Initially, life seemed promising as he married Priya Yadav after a period of courtship. However, once Priya secured a teaching job in Samastipur, Bihar, her behavior changed drastically. Allegedly, influenced by her mother and brother, she began to maltreat her husband, even pressuring him to transfer all property to her name.

In the video released before his suicide, Mohit accused Priya's mother of coercing abortion and keeping jewelry and saris. Priya, he said, threatened to accuse him and his family falsely unless he transferred property to her. He mentioned wanting his ashes discarded in a drain if he got no justice after death. He apologizes to his parents for failing them.
Currently, the police have initiated an investigation into the matter. The deceased's brother, Taran Pratap, shared that Mohit worked in Noida at a cement company, where Priya also lived, leading to their initial romantic involvement. They married with family consent after seven years together. But after just three months of marriage, Priya allegedly began mistreating him and separated him from his family, threatening false legal action unless property was transferred to her.

Mohit's in-laws, including his brother-in-law and mother-in-law, allegedly threatened the family, leading to the tragic suicide. Before his death, Mohit uploaded a video message, which the family found later that night. SP City Abhay Nath Tripathi noted that they received information from Jolly Hotel near the railway station. Upon checking room 105, Mohit Kumar was found hanging. It appears to be a suicide, but a full investigation is underway before further action is taken.
