On Monday, educationalist and motivational speaker Avadh Ojha joined the Aam Aadmi Party, welcomed by party convenor Arvind Kejriwal and Manish Sisodia. His entry into the party just months before the Delhi assembly elections is seen as a significant move.

There is speculation that the Aam Aadmi Party might nominate him for the upcoming Delhi assembly elections. However, when asked about it in a press conference on Monday, Kejriwal replied in a very composed manner.

Kejriwal remarked, 'Let there be a little suspense. We will roll it out in the coming days. Whatever the decision will be, it will be conveyed to you.'

Welcoming Avadh Ojha to the party, Arvind Kejriwal had stated that Ojha, impressed by Delhi's educational revolution, is joining the Aam Aadmi Party family to further our efforts. We welcome him to advance our mission.

Upon joining the party, Avadh Ojha mentioned that his primary agenda for joining is the advancement of the education sector. He credited Arvind Kejriwal and Manish Sisodia for giving him the opportunity in politics to work for education. He expressed that this marks the beginning of his political journey, with a primary focus on educational development.

Avadh Ojha, hailing from Gonda, Uttar Pradesh, is known as a UPSC teacher and motivational speaker among UPSC aspirants who popularly call him 'Ojha Sir.' Born as Avadh Pratap Ojha, he completed his early education in Gonda and graduated from Fatima Inter College, Gonda.

Preparations for the Delhi assembly elections, scheduled for next February, have intensified. Be it the ruling Aam Aadmi Party, BJP, or Congress, all parties have begun reaching out to the people. Meanwhile, the Aam Aadmi Party clarified that it will not form an alliance in these elections, leading to a triangular contest in the Delhi assembly elections.

Sources from the Aam Aadmi Party told Aaj Tak that AAP will not enter into any alliances and will contest all 70 seats with its candidates.

Earlier, on Saturday, the Delhi Congress chief announced preparations to field candidates on all 70 seats. AAP continues to deliberate over its candidates for 70 seats after having already announced 11 candidates.

This list includes 6 candidates who have recently switched from Congress or BJP to AAP. Notably, among the new entries are 2 former BJP legislators personally inducted by Arvind Kejriwal into the party.

Previously, AAP attempted to form an alliance with Congress in the Haryana assembly elections without reaching an agreement, leading both parties to contest separately. According to sources, the INDIA bloc may continue its alliance nationally, but AAP will contest the Delhi assembly elections independently.
