In a move that has raised global eyebrows, Pakistan's army chief, Field Marshal Aseem Munir, issued a nuclear threat against India from the United States. He warned that if Islamabad perceives an existential threat from India, it will ensure "half the world will go down with it."

This unprecedented proclamation from a military leader against a third country on American soil marks a historic first.

Delivering his statement at a black-tie dinner hosted by businessman and honorary consul Adnan Asad in Tampa, Munir addressed the audience with foreboding words: "We are a nuclear-armed nation. Should we feel ourselves drowning, half the world will be taken down with us."

'Missile Threat on India's Dams'

During his second U.S. visit, following four days of conflict with India, Munir also targeted India's control over the Indus River, declaring, "We will wait for India to build dams, and when it does, we will annihilate them with ten missiles."

According to The Print, he further remarked, "The Indus River is not the ancestral property of any Indian family. We have no shortage of missiles, Alhamdulillah."

India a Mercedes, Pakistan a Dump Truck: Munir

Aseem Munir likened India to a "shining Mercedes on the highway," comparing it to Pakistan, which he described as a "dump truck filled with gravel." He queried, "If a truck collides with a car, which is at loss?"

Munir asserted that "India aspires to position itself as a global leader, but it is far from reality." Citing the assassination of a Sikh leader in Canada, the detention of eight Indian Navy officers in Qatar, and the Kulbhushan Jadhav case, he claimed these incidents are "indisputable proof" of India's alleged involvement in international terrorism.

Meetings with Military Officers

Munir engaged with U.S. political and military officers, and the Pakistani diaspora as well. He attended the retirement ceremony of outgoing U.S. Central Command (CENTCOM) Commander General Michael Kurilla and Admiral Brad Cooper's assumption ceremony.

Navigating bilateral ties, Munir praised Kurilla's leadership and contribution to America-Pakistan military relations. He met with Joint Chiefs of Staff chairman General Dan Keane to discuss military cooperation and extended an invitation to visit Pakistan.

This marked Munir's second visit to the U.S. in two months. In June, he had a private lunch with President Donald Trump, resulting in collaborative announcements including oil deals.
