The Rashtriya Swayamsevak Sangh (RSS) Chief Mohan Bhagwat pointed out that India often receives advice on improving the condition of its minorities, yet the world faces its turbulent challenges concerning minority communities. During the inauguration of the 'Hindu Service Festival,' Bhagwat remarked, "Grand declarations are being made regarding global peace. We are also advised on global peace, yet conflicts persist. When urged to focus on our country's minorities, we observe the situations minorities face outside."
While Bhagwat did not directly address the assaults on the Hindu community in Bangladesh, the RSS had expressed apprehensions over the scenario following the collapse of the Sheikh Hasina administration. Bhagwat asserted, "Human religion is the eternal religion encompassing all faiths, sometimes referred to as world religion or Hindu religion. The neglect of this faith by the world has engendered environmental and other woes."
Bhagwat asserted that many believe global peace is unachievable without India. "They believe India, with its rich traditions, holds the key. It is our duty to fulfill this global necessity." Discussing the Hindu Service Festival, he challenged the belief that only outsiders come to India for service work. Bhagwat stated, "The reality is that the collective service of saints from various Sanatan Dharma sects exceeds that of external forces. The difference is we don't publicize our efforts, leaving many under the impression we are ineffective."
Reflecting on the British colonial era, Bhagwat commented on the Indian mindset during their rule, "Under the British, we adopted their education and submitted to their governance, complying with their commands. We must now embrace and advance our rich heritage and ancient wisdom."
