Attack on Rithala MLA Mahendra Goyal
Kejriwal has urged the Election Commission to suspend the policemen responsible for such incidents immediately and to arrest the BJP workers involved without delay. News emerged on Saturday that Mahendra Goyal, MLA from Rithala with the Aam Aadmi Party, was attacked during a rally, resulting in him losing consciousness.
According to reports, a PCR call was received by the police at around 11:15 AM on Saturday. A police team then arrived at the scene to begin their investigation. The reasons and perpetrators behind the attack remain unclear, with police currently probing the details.
Kejriwal Condemns the Attack
It is noteworthy that Mahendra Goyal had been summoned by the Delhi Police in connection with stamping and signing on Bangladeshi documents. The MLA had previously appeared for questioning in this matter. Arvind Kejriwal condemned the assault on the legislator, saying that the BJP is facing a severe defeat in Delhi and is resorting to violence in frustration.
