The process to appoint priests for daily rituals such as decoration, worship, and offerings in 14 new temples at the Shri Ram Janmabhoomi complex has commenced. The Shri Ram Janmabhoomi Tirtha Kshetra Trust has launched an official website where interested candidates can apply. Priority will be given to applicants residing in Ayodhya.
The Trust clarified that while candidates nationwide will have an opportunity, preference will be extended to youth from Ayodhya. Interested candidates can visit the official website of the Shri Ram Janmabhoomi Tirtha Kshetra Trust and apply online from June 26 to June 30, 2025.
The Trust has laid down specific conditions for applicants. Candidates must be aged between 20 and 30 years, and acquiring religious education from a Gurukul is mandatory. Selected priests will receive meals, accommodation, and a monthly scholarship of 2000 rupees during training.
Candidates will face 306 assessments, including written and verbal exams. Only successful candidates in these tests will be considered for final selection. Govind Devgiri, the chairman of the religious committee and treasurer of the Shri Ram Janmabhoomi Tirtha Kshetra Trust, will supervise the selection process.
Earlier this month, a grand three-day ceremony was held for the consecration of the Shri Ram Darbar and 14 new temples in the Ram Mandir complex.
