Renowned for its premium and innovative products, Apple occasionally surprises with launches that invite both fascination and critique.
Previously, the company introduced a polishing cloth priced at $25. Recently, along with the iPhone 17 series, Apple rolled out a crossbody iPhone strap for about $75. Now, the company has launched a pocket, costing nearly $200.
This new iPhone pocket is essentially a knitted bag designed for carrying your phone. Crafted in collaboration with Japanese designer Issey Miyake, it comes with a price tag of $229.95, and is available in black, blue, and brown shades.
Apple claims this 3D knitted design is made from a single piece of fabric, aiming to give you an extra pocket. The company states it's suitable for holding an iPhone and other small essentials.
Interestingly, the pocket doesn’t include any tech features. It's like a regular bag people use to carry passports and small but critical items while traveling. There's nothing smart about it.

The product has sparked a considerable buzz on social media. Some users find it peculiar, while others believe Apple could market any ordinary item at high prices, with products swiftly selling out.
Apple hasn't launched this product in India, and it might never reach there. However, almost all the quirky products Apple releases tend to sell out, reflecting the brand's immense value.
It's not the first time Apple has introduced such a product. The company has a history of launching unique items unrelated to technology or electronics. What's your take? Be sure to let us know in the comments.
