The challenges for Delhi's Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal show no signs of slowing down. In a recent development, the Vigilance Department has terminated the service of his personal assistant (PA), Vibhav Kumar. Let's note that the Enforcement Directorate (ED) has questioned Kumar on several occasions regarding the liquor scandal.
Kejriwal, who is reeling from consecutive shocks, particularly after being justifiably detained, as the High Court remarked on Tuesday, faced another setback when, on Wednesday, the Rouse Avenue Court dismissed his plea to meet his lawyer five times a week.
Kejriwal was seeking an immediate hearing in the Supreme Court, but to his dismay, no special bench was formed. Moreover, a minister from Kejriwal's own government, Rajkumar Anand, resigned, ostensibly accepting the allegations of corruption within the CM's administration. And now, Vibhav Kumar, his personal secretary, has been dismissed from service.
