Aligarh's buzzing in-law controversy continues unveiling episodes. Back in December 2024, son-in-law Rahul began conversing over the phone with his future mother-in-law, Anita Devi. Anita’s husband, Jitendra, shared that Rahul procured the mobile number from his brother-in-law.

Anita Devi’s spouse candidly discussed the topic with the press. In a revealing interview, Jitendra disclosed that Rahul’s brother-in-law resides in Rudrapur and is in the business of applying mehndi. Previously, he had engaged in conversations with Jitendra’s wife, Anita Devi, multiple times. On one occasion, when Rahul visited his brother-in-law, he obtained his mother-in-law’s number and started calling her. Jitendra mentioned that initially, when Anita and Rahul communicated, he found it odd. However, considering the sanctity of the mother-in-law and son-in-law relationship, he did not give it much thought. However, as their conversations grew longer and more frequent, suspicions arose. Allegedly, at first, Rahul would only check on basic well-being, but gradually, the duration and frequency of calls increased. What started with two to three-hour chats expanded into five to seven hours, and in the week leading up to the elopement, they were reportedly on the phone for nearly twenty hours a day.

A Wedding Day Set for August

Jitendra recounted that plans for his daughter’s nuptials were established for August. From December, the prospective son-in-law increased interactions with his mother-in-law. The daughter’s engagement had been arranged with a cousin, orchestrated through this very family member. The family had all visited to meet the groom, Rahul, who had made a positive impression. Following this, additional ceremonies were performed and the wedding date was chosen. Invitations were printed and distributed. Jitendra elaborated that, upon returning from delivering cards at his sister-in-law's, his wife absconded with the son-in-law.

Plans to Keep Him Away Home at Night

Jitendra revealed that on April 6th, Anita insisted he visit her sister. Jitendra conveyed that Anita insisted he personally deliver the wedding invitation. Jitendra had initially refused, suggesting his younger brother could deliver it, but Anita was firm that he should go. Upon arriving and staying mere hours, Anita communicated with her sister, ensuring he would be fed and encouraged to stay the evening. Jitendra described his sister-in-law's response, noting he had departed before dining. Upon returning, Anita had absconded with the prospective son-in-law.

Urgent Plea for Police Intervention

Jitendra maintains that law enforcement should prioritize locating the duo. While Jitendra expresses reluctance to accept Anita again, he desires the return of his cash and valuables. Jitendra remarks on how arduous his efforts were to accumulate those savings, and his wife’s actions left him stranded.
