Driven by love, Badal Babu from Aligarh crossed the border to Pakistan without a visa, causing great distress to his family. His parents met with the SP in Aligarh today to plead for help. The SP assured them that every possible assistance would be provided. During an emotional interaction with the media, Badal's mother even fainted, while concern was visibly etched on his father's face.
For those unaware, Badal's father, Kirpal Singh, shared that his son had initially gone to Delhi for work. It's unclear how he ended up in Pakistan, although rumors are circulating about his presence there, albeit without any concrete information from their side.
As per Kirpal Singh- “I last spoke to him on December 30th, but he didn't reveal his location. Later, through social media, we discovered that Badal is indeed in Pakistan and is under police custody. Yet, nothing is known about why and how he went there, especially since his identity cards, such as his Aadhaar and PAN, were left at home. There is no girl involved, my son wouldn’t do such a thing.”
Badal's father also expressed that the SP ensured them of full cooperation. They plan to reach out to higher authorities and appeal to the government for their son's safe return. The family, including three sons of which Badal is the second, is desperate with the stress evident as they’ve been unable to eat for the last three days.
In this scenario, SP Amrit Jain from rural areas remarked that Badal Babu from Nagla Khitkari village is missing. It's via social media and media that it's been learned he's been apprehended in Pakistan. His family approached the office today with an application, requesting the safe return of their son.
Currently, Aligarh police are treating this matter with utmost sensitivity and plan to escalate it to the Ministry of External Affairs through proper channels. This will enable them to communicate with the Indian High Commission authorities in Islamabad. We will support the family in every way possible.
