Controversy erupted after BJP MP Nishikant Dubey made a statement regarding the Supreme Court. Responding sharply, Samajwadi Party leader and Kannauj MP Akhilesh Yadav expressed, 'If the BJP had secured 400 seats, the streets would have been filled with swords and rifles. Bombs would have certainly exploded in such a scenario.'
On Sunday, during a press conference in Prayagraj, Akhilesh said, 'The reality is that it is the BJP people who work to increase communal frenzy and caste conflicts. The BJP implements a divide and rule strategy at various times. Whether it is about dividing on religious grounds or caste grounds, this is part of the BJP program, and they invest funds in it. What has been said reflects the BJP's own mindset.'
'It's tradition to have bombs here...'
Akhilesh further mentioned, 'The truth is those claiming they would win over 400 seats... and if they did, the streets would be teeming with swords and rifles. Bombs are customary here. Imagine if they reached over 400, swords would be brandished in the streets. Naked swords would be waved...'

How did Akhilesh react to Mayawati's statement?
Akhilesh retorted to BSP leader Mayawati's statement. He said, 'We contested the elections together. The PDA platform is for people from all communities. In Uttar Pradesh, the SC/ST society has faced the most oppression. Dalits have been burned alive. In neighboring states, people have been humiliated. Uttar Pradesh tops in Dalit and women oppression. In reality, BSP leader Mayawati said that SP can never be a true benefactor of Dalits.'
Akhilesh also rebutted UP's Deputy CM Keshav Prasad Maurya's statement, asserting, 'BJP members should learn what Swami Vivekananda has taught. Being a layman doesn't make someone a Yogi.' Maurya had remarked that a chair can be inherited, but not wisdom.

'BJP only knows to seize'
On the issue of Waqf, Akhilesh claimed, 'BJP only knows how to seize. They introduced the Waqf Bill to grab land. They're a land mafia party. They've acquired a lot of government land.'
Regarding Murshidabad, the SP leader said that actions are underway in West Bengal. Investigations are ongoing, and several people have been arrested. However, if there's any hand behind fomenting riots, it often points back to BJP people. In Uttar Pradesh, he recounted giving money to a poor person to throw a piece of meat into a temple in Kannauj. During his government, investigations led to 17 BJP members being jailed.
