He commented, "They (BJP) are selling institutions and establishments at throwaway prices. News suggests a major institution is on the brink of being sold. If trade and industry thrive, it will transform common people's lives and boost employment."
Referring to KGMU, Akhilesh Yadav said it is not only a major institution in the country but also holds international prestige. He further added, "When the Samajwadi government comes to power, we will provide all necessary resources to make it the world's finest institution and offer appropriate medical facilities for the underprivileged."

Addressing river pollution, Akhilesh remarked, "Rivers are not getting cleaner; instead, the budget is being misused. That's why the Gomti remains dirty. Under the SP regime, it was becoming beautiful, but they have ruined it." He announced plans to erect a statue of Veerangna Uda Devi in Lucknow's Gomti Riverfront to honor a freedom fighter.
Akhilesh's Appeal Before His Birthday
Prior to this, SP chief wrote on 'X', "This year, I humbly request all my well-wishers to refrain from presenting any bouquets, portraits, likenesses of party symbols like the bicycle, or any other kind of gift on my birthday. Instead, officially contribute your 'faith donations' to the construction of the 'Samajwadi Memorial' at the party office. In recognition of your commitment to Samajwadi values and support, each contributor's name will be published in the 'Samajwadi Memorial Support Booklet'."
