Asaduddin Owaisi, the leader of All India Majlis-e-Ittehadul Muslimeen (AIMIM), launched a scathing critique against the central government regarding the intensive survey and verification of the Bihar voter list. The Hyderabad MP targeted the government with his piercing remarks.
Expressing his skepticism, he mentioned that the central election commission managed to identify Bangladeshis, Rohingyas, and Nepalese citizens in Bihar's voter list. However, the government failed to understand how terrorists brazenly murdered 26 tourists in Pahalgam, Jammu, and Kashmir.
Addressing a gathering in Bodhan town, Telangana, on Wednesday night, Owaisi challenged, "You succeed in identifying citizens from Bangladesh, Nepal, and Rohingya in Bihar, but why can't you investigate how terrorists infiltrated Pahalgam?"
He resolutely stated that until the whereabouts of the terrorists involved in the Pahalgam attack are uncovered, he will keep questioning the government vigorously. Owaisi also asserted that Operation Sindoor should not be halted until the terrorists in Pahalgam are discovered.
Rhetorically questioning, he said, "When terrorists were attacking our Hindu brothers in Pahalgam, were you sleeping? Was your administration turning a blind eye?" Owaisi, who participated in the all-party delegation representing India's stance on Operation Sindoor to the global community, urged PM Modi to focus on neighboring developments, claiming India is encircled by China.
He also criticized Jammu and Kashmir's Lieutenant Governor Manoj Sinha, citing the Pahalgam attack as an example of a security void in the Modi government's strategy. Targeting Manoj Sinha, Owaisi said, "Now in July, you are admitting your error."
Notably, Manoj Sinha recently described the Pahalgam incident as unfortunate in an interview, accepting it was a security lapse, and shouldering full responsibility. He also noted the general belief that terrorists don't target tourists and the attack location was an open area.
