On Thursday night, near Kalupur Bridge in Ahmedabad, a devastating fire engulfed a sev manufacturing factory. Firefighters arrived promptly and heroically brought the flames under control after a tireless effort. The factory was reduced to ashes, but thankfully, there were no casualties.
The sudden outbreak of a fierce fire in the sev factory, situated opposite the Shaherkotda Police Station, caused chaos due to plumes of smoke filling the area.
At around 2:30 AM, the fire brigade was alerted. Fire engines from Gomtipur, Panchkuwa, Naroda, and Maninagar fire stations rushed to combat the blaze.
After hours of relentless effort, the firefighters managed to extinguish the fire. However, the cause of the fire remains undetermined.
According to the fire officers, due to the fire occurring at night, additional fire brigade vehicles and officials were dispatched to the vicinity as a precaution. Fortunately, no lives were lost in the factory fire. However, an investigation into the cause is still ongoing.
Nearly everything in the factory has been destroyed by the fire. Investigations are also being conducted regarding the factory's fire safety certificates and other necessary permissions.
